Proposals · Section 3 of 6

Project Scope

In this section, list every single design project that the client needs designed. It is very important to be specific because if a client asks for more projects, then you have the right to charge more because it is outside the original “project scope” you estimated for.

Paragraph 3 Defining your aesthetic

Purple text in the samples is a placeholder—replace it with your own information.

Sample

Through client feedback, the Designer compiled contextual information that will contribute to the direction of the design (aesthetic) of business materials—the background information includes:

  • Aesthetic should encompass …
  • Designed materials need to encompass the “essence” …
  • Color palettes should mimic …

Paragraph 4 Project deliverables

Sample

Deliverables include all materials the Designer will provide to the Client for the specified fee. Any design work requested outside of this scope will be billed at the hourly rate unless a new contract is written. The list of the design services provided includes the following:

  • List each project component separately (Examples: logo, tri-fold brochure, 8 page website, etc.)

Action

  • Paragraph 3: Write a custom list that outlines the client’s preferences for the project aesthetic.
  • Paragraph 4: Write a list of the project deliverables—it is very important to be very clear, otherwise you could end up having issues with your client communication.
